Senior Salesforce Engineer (Contract)
For over 20 years, OSI’s purpose has been to help good people do great things and provide incredible software solutions to clients of all sizes. As a tech services organization, we’re building a sustainable, ethical technology services business, partnering with exceptional clients who benefit from our ability to deliver. We’re a small company with a family-style atmosphere – small enough to move fast and close enough to share in the white-glove experience we’ve become known for.
About the Role
This contract role is a senior-level Salesforce Engineer responsible for designing, building, and supporting complex Salesforce solutions that manage and expose provider (doctor) data through enterprise systems and a provider-facing portal. The engineer will work closely with internal teams while progressively stepping into a technical-lead role, owning solution quality, DevOps practices, and platform stability across Salesforce environments. The term is 12-months, followed by potential extension or full-time conversion. Functions of this role include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Salesforce solutions supporting provider data ingestion, management, and portal functionality across Sales Cloud and Health Cloud
- Serve as the hands-on senior engineer who can independently learn the platform, understand existing architecture, and incrementally assume technical ownership of the program
- Build, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Copado, GitHub, Salesforce DX, and scratch orgs to support reliable, repeatable releases
- Integrate Salesforce with internal and third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware (e.g. Mulesoft)
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA, and external vendors to streamline deployments, resolve defects, and enforce engineering best practices
- Support production operations, including rapid response to high-severity incidents and ongoing optimization of deployment and code quality processes
Qualifications & Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Sales Cloud and/or Health Cloud
- Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning (Aura and/or LWC), Metadata API, Salesforce DX, scratch orgs, and Apex testing
- Proven experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling and workflows, including Copado, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Git CLI
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code-quality enforcement (e.g. PMD, Selenium)
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs and managing deployment issues across multiple environments
- Ability to operate in a senior, semi-autonomous capacity, learn complex systems quickly, and act as a confident and collaborative senior leader in distributed delivery model
Location & Citizenship
As this will support a U.S.-based healthcare client, you must also meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Located in the U.S. and able to work full-time remotely (this team will be distributed)
- Current U.S. citizen with no employment restrictions or sponsorship requirements
We would like to hear from you! At OSI, we aim to attract, grow, and retain good people and help them do great things. If OSI and this position sound like a fit, we’d love to consider you for our team.
